Important Dates
Due dates for lodging and paying your Business Activity Statements (BAS)
Quarterly Reporting
Monthly Reporting
The due date for your monthly BAS is on the 21st day of the following month. If the due date is on a weekend or public holiday, you can lodge your form and make any payment due on the next business day.
Just a reminder that the ATO is becoming very strict with Activity Statements being lodged and paid by the due date, even a few days late and they have been handing out fines and forwarding outstanding amounts to debt collection. Make sure you are not one of these businesses!!

When to lodge your tax return
If you prepare your own return, you have until 31 October to lodge. If you use a registered tax agent, you have until 15th May, but you need to register with them as a client before 31 October to qualify.
Super payment due dates
Employers need to pay their super guarantee for every quarter and ensure that they are received by the fund by the following dates:
Quarter 1 (July - September) - due 28 October
Quarter 2 (October - December) - due 28 January
Quarter 3 (January - March) - due 28 April
Quarter 4 (April - June) - due 28 July
If you prefer more frequent payments, such as monthly or fortnightly, ensure that the full amount is paid by the quarterly deadline.
